In the end

A new day has arrived, and with it comes the start of a fresh chapter in my life as well as a new place. The end of life in Ooty has finally arrived. In 2015, I relocated from Goa to Ooty in Tamil Nadu. Seven years have passed since that time, and the time has flown by in a beautiful way. My philosophy of staying in one location for 7 years has been rewarded with a lifetime of rich friendships and memorable experiences.

I am fortunate to have great friends and colleagues in Ooty.

I moved to Ooty with an open mind without any agenda, plan, or project, but the landscape motivated me to create, along with my new friends, some very successful projects like Gallery OneTwo and the Ooty Short Film Festival. As a curator for Gallery Onetwo, I have curated over fifty exhibitions and countless talk shows, as well as hosted numerous regional, national, and international artists. Additionally, I oversaw six film festival editions as the festival director (Read more about my experience managing a film festival here What is in a Name)

Not only did the project make me extremely happy and satisfied, but also everyone else who was involved and the general public.

The landscape navigated me to create some memorable projects, like the Portrait of the Nation and Arkiva, apart from numerous other projects, some of which were successful and some failures.

Detachment, in my opinion, is crucial to creativity and ongoing innovation. So, I am leaving everything I did in Ooty to the people and moving on. Ultimately, I believe it will go wherever its path may lead.

In the end, it is the end of a long and beautiful journey through the most breathtaking mountainous landscape in India. I spent around 7 years of my life here; 7 wonderful and amazing years that gave me happiness and joy in abundance, both personally and professionally, and all the other pleasures that life can offer.

With this tremendous optimism, I am embarking on a new journey to a new destination and opportunities with an open mind without any agenda, plan, or project.

I hope to see you all again. Until then, be well and take care.
